Pundit drops Jordan Henderson to Sunderland verdict, predicts how fans would welcome him
There’s been talk of a possible Sunderland return for Jordan Henderson in the coming months.
Jordan Henderson, now 34 and playing for Dutch giants Ajax, looks as though he could be on the move very soon.
After his brief spell in Saudi Arabia, Henderson joined Ajax on a deal until the summer of 2026. But he’s not starting as many games as he’d hope.
He’s featured five times in the Eredivisie this season, coming off the bench in his last two league appearances.
Recent reports have revealed that there’s transfer interest in Henderson ahead of the January window.
It’s also claimed that Sunderland are keen on a possible reunion with Henderson, 13 years since he left for Liverpool.
A graduate of the Sunderland academy, Sunderland-born Henderson has since won the Premier League and Champions League with Liverpool, whilst racking up 81 caps for England in the process.
