This has seen the 25-year-old feature in some tough times on Merseyside, with things now looking brighter under the stewardship of David Moyes.

With that being said, the Scot could look to make some changes in the summer with Mykolenko potentially staring the exit door in the face.

It does feel to many supporters that the left-back position represents one that the L4 club could improve on in the coming months.

This comes with Ashley Young representing the back up option at Goodison and the Ukranian appearing to be the best option on a weekly basis.

As a result, it would be little surprise to see a new defender be targeted when the window kick starts at the end of the season.

This could see Moyes and Co. delve into the free transfer market despite potential new wealth under the ownership of the Friedkin Group.

Junior Firpo could represent a superb option as his contract ticks down at Leeds United after their promotion to the Premier League was confirmed.

TBR Football reported on 6 May that Everton have shown an interest in the 28-year-old who has also been linked to West Ham and Crystal Palace.

If the Dominican Republic international were to make the choice and move to Goodison, that could spell bad news for Mykolenko moving forward.
