Everton table mega bid to seal Thierno Barry transfer as Moyes update drops

Everton are pushing hard to sign a new striker this summer.

After failing with a move to sign Liam Delap, who has since joined Chelsea, Villareal wonder Thierno Barry is now on the agenda.

Doubts continue to surround the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is said to be keen on a move to Italy, with Beto also attracting heavy interest.Everton boss David Moyes wants stadium move to fuel an era of success as he says 'there is a feeling of a club coming back together' | Daily Mail Online

Everton have now tabled a bid in excess of £25.4million to sign the Villareal star, according to Marc Mechenoua.

The former Le Parisien journalist has reported that Barry is a priority for David Moyes, despite no agreement being reached.

Despite the first phase of the transfer window coming and going with nothing of note from Finch Farm, Premier League clubs will remain busy.

The window opens again on Monday (16 June), but clubs can still announce deals during this small break, just without being able to register those players.Everton boss David Moyes wants stadium move to fuel an era of success as he says 'there is a feeling of a club coming back together' | Daily Mail Online

Everton have no interest in the Club World Cup, so this break should mean very little to them.

With Angus Kinnear and his team now in place ahead of the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, it appears Moyes has instructed them to go all in on Barry.
