How much Everton could pay Jack Grealish in wages as loan move made

Everton are understood to be prioritising a move for Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish in this transfer window.

David Moyes reportedly likes Grealish, and the Toffees are exploring the option of signing him on a season-long loan deal.

With the World Cup next summer, Grealish, 29, needs to be playing regularly in order to be a part of Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Grealish turns down Fenerbahce move
According to the Daily Mail (6 August), Fenerbahce made an ambitious move to sign the England international on loan.

However, joining the Turkish side was not something that appealed to him and he turned down the opportunity.

Grealish is understood to be open to joining Everton and playing regularly in order to win Tuchel’s trust for the international matches in the build-up to the World Cup.

The Toffees are in talks with Manchester City over a loan deal, with Moyes keen on bringing him to the club.

The former Aston Villa captain is expected to miss the Citizens’ friendly against Palermo over the weekend as he looks set to leave and will want to avoid getting injured.

Everton may agree to pay Grealish £150k/week
Grealish’s £300,000-per-week wages at Manchester City far exceed Everton’s financial capacity, making it unfeasible on his current terms.

However, with the 29-year-old keen on the move and City open to negotiations, a deal could be struck where the Toffees cover 50 per cent of his salary, paying him £150,000 per week.
