Newcastle United Are Unwilling To Pay £70 Million For This Striker: Is It The Right Decision From The Magpies?

Newcastle United are keen to buy forward Jorgen Strand Larsen, according to Graeme Bailey from TBR Football. However, Wolves have set a demand of £70 million, and Newcastle do not seem willing to pay such a huge amount.

Wolves, of course, are not actively looking to sell their striker. However, they would be willing to let the 25-year-old centre-forward depart for a sum close to £70 million. Newcastle are looking for new players after the departure of their veteran striker Callum Wilson, whose contract expired this summer, and he was signed by West Ham United.

Speculation over Alexander Isak’s future have also increased Newcastle’s need for a striker. The club also attempted to buy Yoane Wissa, but Brentford rejected their offer. Now, Newcastle United have their eyes on Jorgen Strand Larsen, but the price remains a big issue.

Whether or not Newcastle United should spend such a huge amount on Jorgen Strand Larsen is a big question. Larsen scored 14 goals last season, which is a good performance, but £70 million seems like a very high price.

Strikers are priced high in the football market nowadays, but the Magpies also have to see if Larsen is worth such a price. Newcastle also have Alexander Isak, although his situation is uncertain. If Isak stays at the club, it may not be wise to spend such a huge amount on Larsen, and bringing another high-paid striker into the team.
