Hull City head coach Tim Walter keen to see key MKM Stadium change.

The Tigers boss got to experience a first home win on Saturday.

Tim Walter says he would like to introduce goal music at the MKM Stadium as he looks to try and enhance the MKM Stadium atmosphere and create a fortress-like environment.

Playing at home has been anything but enjoyable for City in recent months having mustered just two wins in all competitions in front of their own supporters in 2024, prior to a significant weekend success.

The German boss got his first taste of home victory on Saturday when his side came back from a goal down to beat Cardiff City 4-1 courtesy of Mohamed Belloumi’s terrific double strike in the first half and one each for fellow late summer arrivals Oscar Zambrano and Chris Bedia.

More than 22,600 roared the Tigers on to victory on what was a special occasion as the club celebrated its 120th birthday in style with a thumping victory, and Walter says he wants to see music played after goals are scored at the MKM, having been asked what it was like to hear Status Quo’s iconic Rocking All Over the World at full-time, the club’s anthem of choice to celebrate home victory, as he savoured his first success in front of the home fans.

“We can do it even more, after scoring a goal, we can play music because I’ve never heard that here, so maybe we have to do it in our stadium as well,” the German explained. “We try to bring all influences together, all mentalities, and that’s what we’re going to form, and it’s good.”

Often a decisive topic amongst supporters in England and far from a roaring success when trialled briefly at City almost 10 years ago but a regular at stadiums throughout Germany, Walter says he will discuss it further with his players and allow them to pick a song he thinks will benefit the atmosphere before taking it forward.

“Yeah, because it’s nice. Then you know you have scored, and then everybody can see it and can hear it and that’s a good sign,” he said when asked if he would like to see it introduced at City.

“The boys have to decide,” he said when asked what his song of choice would be. “I have a few good songs to play after scoring a goal. I’m with them, I agree with everybody because what I want doesn’t interest me, because it’s about the boys, and they have to celebrate. Hopefully, we will find
