Hull City told where Championship improvement must be found in coming weeks
The Tigers have three wins, draws and defeats from their opening nine games of the season
Former Chelsea youngster Sam Parkin believes Hull City have got something going for them, but says Tim Walter must find a way to tighten up his team.
Parkin, who played for a host of EFL clubs including Swindon Town, Ipswich Town and Luton Town during a 16-year professional career, watched City’s 4-0 beating at Carrow Road on Saturday, as Tim Walter’s fell to their heaviest defeat yet under the German boss.
Though City had chances of their own in a very open Carrow Road contest, it was the Canaries who punished the Tigers for their openness, and it could have been worse, had Josh Sargent not smacked a second half penalty against the base of Ivor Pandur’s post.
That defeat ended a run of three straight wins for City, who moved up the table after scoring 10 goals in those successes over Stoke, Cardiff and QPR, and though Parkin says Walter must tighten up, there is reason to be optimistic for Tigers fans.
