Crystal Palace handed potential late boost as Tottenham star “still not 100 per cent” fit.

Tottenham will make the short trip to Selhurst without one of their key stars for the Crystal Palace game.
Tottenham have been unsuccessful in getting captain Son Heung-min ready for the game against Crystal Palace today, with Ange Postecoglou confirming that his skipper is unlikely to be fit for the match.

The Spurs boss is aiming for his third straight win after beating West Ham and AZ Alkmaar, but they face a Crystal Palace side desperate for three points, with manager Oliver Glasner under increasing pressure to turn things around.

Spurs have suffered two defeats already this season, but they have been flawless in Europe and will hope that they can navigate what could potentially be a tricky encounter. Speaking ahead of the game, the Spurs boss confirmed the injury setback.

He told reporters: “Last night, all good, no issues, but obviously a bit of fatigue with some of the boys as they haven’t played for a while, but all good.

“Sonny is still not right or feeling 100 percent. He won’t train today, so he’s unlikely for the weekend, and we’ll see how he is beyond that.”

The Lilywhites, however, will have Wilson Odobert back in the fold this weekend after he made his first appearance in more than a month, coming off the bench against AZ Alkmaar following his own hamstring injury.

They will be eager to have their captain Son back, with crucial games against Manchester City and Aston Villa coming up. But as they say, the next big game is always the one in front of you.

Last season, Palace ended the campaign on a high note—rising from a 14th-place finish to 10th in the league—which raised expectations. However, the loss of Michael Olise is now haunting them as they look to bounce back.

Trips to Selhurst Park are always tough regardless of the form they are in, and Ange will be keen to avoid any slips.
