Wolves make Watford £20m man January ‘top target’ while Millwall celebrate Championship ‘momentum’
Watford have been consistent under Tom Cleverley this season and one midfielder has attracted Premier League interest.
It was a successful weekend of Championship action for the London outfits in the division with wins for Millwall and Watford, while QPR picked up a draw on the road at high-flying Burnley.
The Lions overcame Swansea City on their travels while the Hornets bounced back from defeats against Luton Town and Leeds United when hosting Blackburn Rovers.

Wolves linked with £20m Watford midfielder
Wolves are looking to make a move for Watford midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze this January as Gary O’Neil’s side continue to struggle in the Premier League this season.
The Sun reports that Wolves have made the Georgia international, who featured four times at Euro 2024 this summer, a ‘top target’ ahead of the New Year. Chakvetadze has grown to become a key figure under Tom Cleverley at Vicarage Road.
Watford paid £2.1 million to sign the player from Slovan Bratislava last February from and the 25-year-old has gone on to contribute two goals and six assists in 50 matches for the Hornets.
Chakvetadze only signed a new deal with Watford in September, so any swoop from the 19th-placed top flight side would not come cheap. A £20 million price tag is quoted as the Championship side’s asking price.
