It wasn’t pretty’ – West Brom assessed by pundit after Hull City win.
West Brom’s win away at Hull City ‘wasn’t pretty’, according to pundit Lee Hendrie.
West Brom got the three points in the end though at the MKM Stadium which was all that mattered.
The Baggies travelled up to East Yorkshire on the back of six draws in a row.
Carlos Corberan’s side took the lead through Karlan Grant and then made it two when Josh Maja struck. The Tigers got back into the game through Joao Pedro on the stroke of half-time but weren’t able to find an equaliser.
Hendrie was on co-commentary duties for Sky Sports and said afterwards:“Credit to West Bromwich Albion, you know they dug deep. They defended gamely. They know that they wanted to get that three points. At times it wasn’t pretty, they had to defend but they did it. They have taken all three points and they close in on the international break with a win.”
Getting the win was the main thing for West Brom against Hull City.
It has stopped their streak of draws and means they head into the international break in confident mood.

They are currently sat in 5th place in the Championship table and are inside the play-offs along with Leeds United, Burnley and Watford.
As Hendrie alluded to, the Baggies’ showing against the Tigers wasn’t the best performance in the world but they dug deep to get the victory.
Hull City didn’t test them too much in the end but they dealt with everything that was thrown at them.

West Brom have been struggling for goals recently so they will be relieved that they found the net twice.
The Baggies have some useful attacking players like Maja, Grant, Jed Wallace, Tom Fellows, Grady Diangana and John Swift and Corberan needs to find the right blend.
At the other end of the pitch, they are very solid at the back and are built on strong foundations. They don’t concede too many goals, even with a makeshift backline, and that will stand them in good stead.
What now?
The break has probably come at the right time for West Brom.

They have had a lot of fixtures recently and can use the next two weeks to rest and recharge.
The Baggies are back in action on 23rd November with a home clash against Norwich City as they look to build some momentum. They then head to Sunderland away.
